When the Robin Sings to Me

When the Robin sings to me

He takes his podium hedge position.

A delicate body framing a proud red breast

With a determined stare, he opens his mouth

A crisp, transporting, sound, emanates from a tiny beak.

Thank you to Paul Wood for letting me use one of his beautiful images.

  1. I was interested to come across one of your old posts last year on ‘Forest schools’. I think they’re a greatly needed extra element in education today and I wrote about this in my post in January – ‘Nature’s Classroom’. My daughter is involved in one near here. I greatly value the opportunity in the past to have been able to roam the local county-side as a young person learning about nature first- hand. Forest schools seem to be a welcome step in the right direction.
You have some great photography in your site.
